Letters policy
Letters and paperwork
In plain words, so you know before you ask.
Letters for gender-affirming care
Dr. Nash writes letters of support for hormones, surgery or a legal name and gender marker change when she has worked with you long enough to speak to it honestly. She does not decide who you are, and a letter is not promised in advance.
What a letter says
It says what she knows from your sessions, in plain words. Some surgeons, courts and insurers have their own requirements. She tells you what she can write and what she cannot before she starts.
How it is paid for
Writing a letter is part of the work in session. If it takes extra time, you hear that in writing first.
